Types of gynecomastia

We distinguish three types of gynecomastia:

Gynecomastia that is associated with obesity, but it can also be hereditary. Excessive fat tissue accumulates over the breast glands. With this type of gynecomastia liposuction gives the best results. A special cannula is inserted through the small skin incisions, by means of which the fat is sucked out. This method is very delicate, and gives good results. Scars that remain after sucking the fat have a length of 1.5 to 2.5 mm and are virtually invisible.

Gynecomastia, the excess mammary gland is removed. The incision is most often performed around the nipple or in the breast fold. A significant enlargement of the gland, often causes the skin to overgrow, then its excess is also removed.

In mixed gynecomastia, we combine liposuction with the removal of excess gland.
