Tonsillotomy – aims to reduce the size of the tonsils. At Dom Lekarski Medical Center we use a device called Celon. The procedure is bloodless, conducted under local anesthesia.

Tonsillectomy – is a surgical procedure to remove the tonsils, which are located in the back of your throat.

Adenoid hypertrophy

Adenoid (pharyngeal tonsil) is located behind the nasal cavity, where the nose blends into the throat.

Enlarged adenoid can completely block airflow and cause breathing problems.

Symptoms:

• impaired breathing through the nose
• snoring,
• nasal voice.
• hearing problems and recurring ear infections.

Adenoidectomy– is the surgical removal of the adenoid using endoscope, performed under general anesthesia.

The enlarged adenoid in some children can cause recurring otitis media (inflammatory diseases of the middle ear.) . In many cases, the most effective method of treatment is the incision of the eardrums and insertion of tympanostomy tube.
